Por segundo año la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales ha acogido “VolunFair ETSII” (Feria de Voluntariado en la Universidad Pública de Madrid) promovida por Pastoral Universitaria y Cáritas Universitaria de Madrid. Esta feria, está organizada por un grupo de alumnos que pretenden poner en conexión a organizaciones que trabajan por un mundo mejor tanto en el ámbito nacional como en el internacional, con los jóvenes que buscan compartir su tiempo, su vida, con colectivos vulnerables.
Además de otras muchas organizaciones con estas características REDES ha estado presente como organización acogedora de 60 ONG vinculadas a la Iglesia Católica.
Estar allí ha sido un privilegio tanto para los jóvenes que se acercaban, por el gran abanico que les podíamos ofrecer, como para los que les hemos recibido y hemos podido compartir con ellos sueños e ilusiones de un mundo mejor..
María, de LADESOL, nos enseñó a confeccionar unas sencillas flores de papel que con la ayuda del agua desplegaban sus pétalos y ofrecían un mensaje vital y solidario que nos ha ayudado a “romper el hielo” con los jóvenes que se acercaban a nuestro stand que, por cierto, ha sido muy visitado. También estuvimos Rebeca (Spínola Solidaria), Alexia, Alejandro y Asier (Selvas Amazónicas), Charo (PROKARDE) y Jaime (Secretaría REDES) ¡Gracias por vuestro apoyo! Además nuestros amigos de “Siempre Adelante” (Concepcionistas) estuvieron también presentes con un stand.
Algunos jóvenes nos han dejado por escrito en un gran panel de papel continúo, por qué ellos querían ser “voluntarios”, algunos ya habían tenido experiencias nacionales e internacionales, otros se acercaron a la feria con el gusanillo, quizá al año que viene, al terminar la carrera,… otros se acercaban a ver qué era esto.
Bonita experiencia y la seguridad de que hemos estado donde teníamos que estar, sigamos haciendo camino.
