El proceso participativo de la ILP para pedir la regularización de las 500 mil personas migrantes que se estima están en irregularidad administrativa seguirá en marcha cuando se conforme el nuevo parlamento tras las elecciones del 23 de julio.
La nueva Mesa del Congreso que se conforme, decidirá si vuelve a convocar a la Comisión Promotora de la ILP, en la que REDES participa, o si sigue la tramitación en el pleno del Congreso, a partir del informe de la Comisión de Trabajo y Migraciones que recibió el 10 de mayo la propuesta legislativa. En esa comparecencia, los grupos mayoritarios de PSOE y PP no se mostraron favorables a esta ILP, pero dejaron la puerta abierta al diálogo. Desde las organizaciones eclesiales que apoyamos la ILP seguiremos por tanto buscando estas conversaciones en otoño cuando se haya conformado el nuevo parlamento.
Así pues, no cae en saco roto el enorme esfuerzo de miles de personas voluntarias de más de 800 organizaciones sociales que hemos recogido más de 700 mil firmas durante 1 año, arropando la reivindicación en primera persona de los colectivos migrantes.
