“Si la fe quedase sin incidencia política, quedaría también sin el Evangelio de Jesucristo” Monseñor Santiago Agrelo, arzobispo emérito de Tánger, se expresó con esta claridad en la mesa redonda organzada por la revista Vida Religiosa junto a REDES en Madrid, como presentación del monográfico ONG: experiencia de comunión en la Incidencia Política.
Junto a Agrelo participó María José Mariño, carmelita misionera y miembro del equipo de Incidencia Política de REDES que ha redactado el monográfico, en este diálogo dinamizado por Ana Pastor, de Atresmedia.
Con una nutrida presencia de distintas de las organizaciones de REDES, el coloquio tuvo momentos de gran profundidad, tanto desde la espiritualidad como desde la política. Santiago Agrelo insistió de modos distintos en la irrenunciable dimensión pública y política de la fe, que a él le ha supuesto lógicamente conflictos, concretamente en su defensa de los derechos de las personas migrantes en la frontera sur. “Las muertes en las fronteras es competencia de la fe, y no de activistas sociales” en alusión a los calificativos con afán despectivo que ha recibido ante sus posicionamientos.
María José Mariño señalaba que con nuestro posicionamiento (activo o pasivo) “no es un modelo político lo que está en juego, sino la fraternidad”, y la fuerza no nos viene de una ideología, sino de la espiritualidad. El Evangelio no se identifica con ninguna ideología y las desborda a todas con la búsqueda del Reino. La incidencia política supone recuperar nuestra voz, frente a quienes quieren reducir la política a depositar un voto cada tantos años, y esa voz es la que expresamos en campañas como la ILP de Regularización de migrantes o la Diligencia Debida de las empresas en Derechos Humanos.
A esta presentación asistieron también el Vicario de Pastoral Social e Innovación de Madrid, J. Luis Segovia, y el Delegado Diocesano de Movilidad Humana, Rufino García.
