El domingo 25 de septiembre la Iglesia convoca la Jornada Mundial del Migrante y Refugiado, este año con el lema Construir el futuro con los migrantes y los refugiados. Desde REDES, invitamos a concretar este lema a través de la campaña Esenciales, recogiendo firmas para abrir un proceso de Regularización Extraordinaria de personas migrantes, que permita acceder a sus derechos básicos a las 500 mil personas migrantes que se calcula que se encuentran en situación irregular en España.
En su mensaje para esta jornada, el papa Francisco destaca, en el espíritu de Fratelli Tutti, la riqueza que suponen las personas migrantes que vienen a nuestro país, una oportunidad de crecimiento cultural y espiritual. […] la historia nos enseña que la aportación de los migrantes y refugiados ha sido fundamental para el crecimiento social y económico de nuestras sociedades. Y lo sigue siendo también hoy.
También señala el mensaje que La inclusión de las personas más vulnerables es una condición necesaria para obtener la plena ciudadanía. Por eso, con ocasión de esta jornada nos sentimos llamados a impulsar la inclusión y la ciudadanía a través de gestos concretos, como es la campaña Esenciales.
La campaña Esenciales, en cuya comisión promotora participa REDES a través de su entidad socia Sercade-Servicio Capuchino para el Desarrollo, cuenta entre sus entidades firmantes con un gran número de entidades eclesiales, incluyendo el Departamento de Migraciones de la Conferencia Episcopal Española, Cáritas, Confer y Justicia y Paz, junto a muchas de las organizaciones socias de REDES.
Os ofrecemos diversos materiales para sensibilizar y preparar esta jornada, comenzando por un vídeo y una ficha de oración/reflexión, a la que añadiremos otros para enmarcar las eucaristías de ese domingo 25 de septiembre.
Vamos avanzando hacia el reto de obtener 500 mil firmas, pero aún nos faltan más de 100 mil. En el marco de esta Jornada Mundial de la Iglesia, invitamos a organizar el domingo 25 de septiembre actividades de sensibilización y recogida de firmas en las parroquias, tal como se vienen organizando en centros educativos, congregaciones y otros espacios eclesiales.
