Representantes de distintas organizaciones de REDES participaron en el VI Foro de Incidencia Política el pasado 27 de octubre en el Colegio Mayor Alcalá, de los claretianos en Madrid. En continuidad con el trabajo del año pasado, este encuentro reflexionó sobre la fundamentación evangélica del trabajo de Incidencia Política (recogida en el monográfico ONG: Experiencia de comunión en la Incidencia Política) y también sobre estrategias concretas de acción en este ámbito, como la propuesta de trabajo del Movimiento Laudato Si’ en relación a la reciente exhortación Laudate Deum, centrada en la lucha frente al Cambio Climático.
El carmelita Eduardo Agosta, climatólogo y miembro del Movimiento Laudato Si’ presentó el trabajo eclesial en apoyo al Tratado de No Proliferación de Combustibles Fósiles (TNPCF), tal como hizo recientemente en una jornada interna de CONFER. Describió en detalle porqué los combustibles fósiles son clave en la mitigación del cambio climático y las advertencias que los tres últimos papas vienen haciendo sobre su abuso. No se trata pues de ideologías de uno u otro signo, sino de Doctrina Social de la Iglesia.
Recomendamos ver la exposición de Eudardo Agosta para clarificar el fundamento científico y teológico del apoyo a este tratado.
El TNPCF es un complemento que concreta cómo llegar a los límites de temperatura del planeta que propuso el Acuerdo de París. Un 35% de las instituciones que ya han retirado sus inversiones de este sector energético son instituciones cristianas. Nos animó a todas las organizaciones apoyar este tratado a través de esta web. El peso de estas adhesiones será un argumento cuando la Santa Sede lo impulse junto a otros estados en la próxima Cumbre del Clima-COP 28 que se iniciará el 30 de noviembre en Dubai. El papa Francisco se hará presente en esta cita para reforzar el llamado que ha realizado en Laudate Deum.
En preparación de esta cumbre, distintas organizaciones eclesiales convocaremos un evento en la Fundación Pablo VI de Madrid el 27 de noviembre.
Miguel Tombilla, presidente de Fundación Proclade, recordaba en otro espacio del Foro que el trabajo en Incidencia Política (IP) da sentido a toda la misión de las organizaciones sociales de la Iglesia, al tratar de revertir la situación de las personas descartadas mediante transformaciones estructurales. Ante los discursos distópicos, apocalípticos, que nos paralizan y acomodan, la IP nos activa en clave de Reino y utopía.
Ana Abril, responsable de IP de Cáritas, recordó esa definición de Incidencia Política: organizar políticamente la esperanza. Y destacó que después de años de sensibilización interna ya se entiende que trabajar en IP no es asumir ninguna ideología de derecha o izquierda, propias de los partidos políticos, sino trabajar en la caridad política, como promueve la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia, especialmente Fratelli Tutti. J. Luis Gutiérrez, de Karit-Solidarios por la Paz insistía en la necesidad de sensibilizar internamente en nuestras organziaciones sobre el sentido y necesidad de este trabajo.
Junto a Ana, Lola Maraver de Fundación Cruz Blanca compartió experiencias en la relación con los partidos políticos, a nivel local, autonómico o estatal, para trasladar los puntos de vista de sus organizaciones en relación con las situaciones injustas que sufren los colectivos sociales con que trabajan. Porque el punto de partida debe ser siempre las demandas de las personas descartadas. Los partidos son por tanto actores determinantes, pero la política se ejerce también desde la sociedad civil, especialmente desde las organizaciones de Iglesia, impulsadas por el Evangelio.
